Though once severely damaged by a hangar collapse in the USA, it was meticulously rebuilt in 1992, restoring its timeless beauty and exceptional flying qualities. Shipped to Australia in 1993, it has been cherished ever since. With its graceful lines and smooth flight, this Airmaster exudes the vintage charm and craftsmanship that made it a standout of its era. Perfect for those who appreciate the elegance of classic aviation, this aircraft is ready to take to the skies once again, offering a flying experience as refined as its history.
Engine Specifications: The engine is a 7 cylinder Warner Scarab TTSO 594 hours. Although the Scarab has a TBO of 600 hours, these engines have been known to go well above this, before requiring overhaul. Annual inspections have been carried out most years and the engine compression has consistently been in the mid 70s. Parts are readily available in the US.
Propeller Specifications: It has a Curtiss Reed fixed pitch metal propeller TTIS 194 hours with a TBO of 2200 hours. There is also a spare Curtiss Reed fixed propeller with coarser pitch included with the sale.
Avionics: Basic VFR instrumentation + Turn Co-ordinator + Mode C Transponder + Single EGT/CHT monitoring.
